      Capt Tulio Acquistapace, SC, USN (Retired) is currently the president of Alameda County Chapter of MOAA.  He is a native Californian, born and raised in Ukiah, California.  He attended the University of California at Berkeley in the NROTC program, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Businesss Administration.  Upon commissioning and attending Supply Corps School he served as the Supply and Disbursing Officer on board the USS JARVIS, DD 799.  After release from active duty, Tulio went to work for a financial service company and continued his Naval career in the Ready Reserves and was the commanding officer of Reserve Cargo Handling Battalion Three,  Naval Supply Center Oakland HQ A 120 and Reserve Unit 620.  After 26 years of service, CAPT Acquistapace retired from the reserves and continued employment for 39 years in Financial Service management positions with Transamerica Corporation, retiring in 1998.

      Since retirement, he has volunteered his services with the VA Livermore Medical Facility, Fremont Elks Lodge and supporting a number of military/Vetereans organizations including MOAA, The Naval Order of the United States, Association of the United States Navy, Supply Corp Association, Marines; Memorial Association, and United States Navy Memorial.   He enjoys fishing, gardening and traveling, if he has spare time.  He lives in Fremont with his wife of 59 years, Rosemare.
