Yesterday, SB 694 (Archuleta), the Veteran Benefits Protection Act, was heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee. After a long two-hour hearing, the bill advanced to the Senate Rules Committee.

But right now, claim sharks are pressuring Senators to stall this bill. If they succeed, California’s Veterans will remain vulnerable to predatory businesses that charge thousands of dollars for help that is supposed to be free.

“My name is [Your Name], I live in [Your City], and I strongly support SB 694. Please release SB 694 to the Senate Floor. Veterans earned their benefits in service to our country, and they must be protected from claim sharks who exploit them with illegal fees.”
