VA Medical Center Livermore Rooftop Garden Project
Rooftop garden at V.A. Medical Facility - Livermore

For about $300 per year our chapter and the work of our volunteers – CDR Rudolf Bredderman, CAPT Tulio Acquistapace, and LTC Rodney Grayson , we maintain a bright spot in an ailing veteran’s day at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center-Livermore in-patient medical facility. They drive to Livermore at least twice a week to trim, plant, clean up, and water the second story roof top garden. It is a peaceful refuge for a patient to grab a smoke, listen to music, visit with friends and family, or simply take a snooze. It's a place to find fresh air, or to watch hummingbirds and black birds frolic in the bird baths and feeders. As summer arrives another volunteer is needed to water and service the garden on Wednesdays.
Please contact Rudolf: bredderman@sbcglobal.net if you can spare a couple of hours once a week on Wednesdays or we can adjust the day of the week to meet your schedule. A couple of photos shows “Spring has Sprung” - we need to show our unwavering support for their many sacrifices.
ALL ON-SITE SUPPORT ACTIVITIES CURRENTLY ON HOLD DUE TO THE VA MEDICAL CENTER'S RESTRICTIONS DUE TO COVID 19.
